I have been teaching English in Luxembourg since 2012. I teach both corporate and private clients in small groups or one to one.
My aim is to help clients express themselves more clearly in correct, fluent and straightforward English. I work on spoken and written skills through pronunciation, vocabulary and intonation but also work on grammar in a light-hearted yet logical way through practice and repetition. I work with my clients to find classroom topics that are useful, relevant and varied in order to keep interest levels high and boredom levels low.
I worked for ten years in public relations and marketing in London then Luxembourg and, after a break to have children, I retrained and acquired a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) diploma.
In a desire to combine my marketing and communication skills with my teaching, I can also help professional clients with projects that require written English at a native-level standard. These may include copywriting or editing promotional documentation such as brochures, product information or websites to make the text more appealing and convincing.
I am English, and have lived in Luxembourg since 1998.
